I’m going to open my write-up today and say that this is going to be a much easier Final Jeopardy clue for those who hear Ken Jennings say “Michel” and not “Michael”, as someone reading this is much more likely to subconsciously assume a typo and insert an A for “Michael”—making this clue much harder for them.

Seeing a clearly French name like “Michel”, though, with the addition of a science fiction premise such as a golden meteor—in this case, The Chase of the Golden Meteor—should hopefully point contestants and viewers alike to the early master of science fiction, Jules Verne.
