Here in the Pacific Northwet, we take waterproofing seriously. The Hood is the only waterproof, quick-access tank bag on the market we've seen. There are no zippers and no roll-tops to unfurl. Just unclip the buckle, flip the lid, and you’re in. It’s the easiest-access waterproof tank bag we’ve used.
The new Hood (V2.0) features a redesigned closure buckle optimized for one-handed gloved opening, with lock-compatible grommets on the strap for added security. We've also refreshed the mounting solution to be compatible with the universal Mosko tank bag mounts, replacing the Hood (V1.2) cam strap mounts. The opening hinge has been structured to be more sturdy when the Hood is fully open. And finally, a new internal organizer wallet design replaces the previous organizers, helping keep small items tidy inside the bag.

DESIGN
We spent over two years developing the Hood and tested every kind of waterproof closure available. Our goal was to create a closure that was both simple and strong enough to withstand dusty, abusive conditions and thousands of uses in a tank bag. We even experimented with kayak hatches for six months. Although the hatches didn't work out, they did lead us to the idea for the Hood.
The Hood achieves its waterproofing through a welded-seam, lockable, and waterproof clamshell lid, which we call a 'hood', that rests on an equally waterproof, welded-seam base. The hood pushes against a strip of piping that runs 360 degrees around the base. A rain gutter, just below the piping, stops any water that tries to work its way up the sides. We even tested it with a pressure washer at the car wash, and everything inside stayed bone dry.
The interior of the Hood features a large, open main compartment with a removable sewn-seam wallet designed to hold items such as cables, headphones, batteries, and credit cards. The Hood also includes a charging cable and headphone pass-through port, allowing you to connect your phone and other electronic accessories directly to the battery.
On top of the Hood, you'll find a Hypalon MOLLE Panel for adding MOLLE accessories like our waterproof Map PocketorNavigator Cell Phone Pocket

Good to go with Mosko Moto!
For my 2012 F650GS I recently upgraded to the Hood Tank bag from the Pico bag which was just a tad too small for my needs. The Hood bag has an adequate amount of room for the miscellaneous doodads and things that I like to have quick access to. I really like the simple one handed strap latch for the lid. I do wish it had a carrying handle for the times when you need to carry it off of the bike. I haven't ridden in the rain yet so I can't say anything about the waterproofing. I had some concerns about the shape of the bag getting in the way when standing, but I have found that the bag does not interfere with my body position. However, I have noticed that the lower anchor straps rub on my knees while standing. So far it hasn't been a big deal but could lead to premature wear on the straps. The Molle webbing on the top of the bag is handy for adding additional accessories or expanding available space. Overall I have been very satisfied with the quality construction, design and customer care that Mosko Moto provides.

No more zippers to fail
With previous tank bags I have had zippers fail which forced me to use straps to hold it together until I could get home. This Hood tank bag has a simple and reliable buckle that makes life easier while out riding. Fits my T7 like a glove too. Super happy with it.
